AKD in the Community

At AKD we are proud to support various organisations which are helping the communities where we operate. These organisations all do exceptional work and without support from local businesses many would struggle to continue.

Royal Blind

For many years AKD have supported Royal Blind and continue to do so this year.

In Danderhall where our office is located we support the local Playgroup donating selection boxes at Christmas time as well as sponsorship to Danderhall bowling club and the U10 football team.

Thank you so much for donating these 80 selection boxes, you are the only business to help us out. If you could drop them off any day after 3pm
Thanks again, it's greatly appreciated, Michelle”

The fantastic Kicks for Kids initiative at Hibs is backed by AKD to the tune of 10 annual season tickets which we share between Canongate Youth Project and Children 1st and Bfriends.

These season tickets are gratefully received each year and used by families who would not normally be fortunate to attend SPL matches. The cards we receive from the children are all the incentive we need to renew each year.

“First introduced by the Club in 2002, the community ticket initiative has distributed thousands of tickets to youngsters from Edinburgh-based charities over the past eight years. The scheme exists to serve the needs of disadvantaged individuals from Edinburgh by encouraging local businesses to purchase season tickets to the benefit of those less fortunate to enjoy a positive, morale-building experience at Easter Road Stadium.

In sport!

Being avid football fans AKD have invested heavily in Youth football, in the past sponsoring Hibs (are you seeing a pattern here), U10, U11 and very successful U19 team of 2009 when they won the League and both Cups with our name on their shirts.

Linlithgow Rose Community Football Club (formerly BFC Linlithgow) benefit greatly from the generosity of AKD as main sponsors of their annual “Keeper Wars” trophy as well as sponsoring the 1999 squad throughout their 7’s leagues.
