Solar Photovoltaic

Wind Turbines Combined Heat & Power

Combined Heat & Power

CHP is the cogeneration of heat and electricity. On a small scale, a natural gas powered boiler provides the hot water and heating like an existing system, but also produces some electricity to supplement what you buy from the national grid.

Air Source Heat Pump 

The technology has found its most common use in refrigerators and room air conditioning units, where heat is removed and dumped outside. Air source heat pumps work in reverse to this, gathering heat from outdoors and moving it inside.

Ground Source Heat Pump

This equipment is powered by electricity; however for every one kilowatt-hour (unit) of electricity consumed, a Heat Pump system can harvest three to four kilowatt-hours of heat

Biomass Boiler

Most of us just want a boiler to keep us warm and provide enough hot water for a shower or a bath.  We're all pretty much resigned to having to pay for the gas to make it happen as well.

However, with the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), it's now possible to not only stop paying for your heating fuel (the Government pays) but also to make a few extra pounds in the process - as long as you're burning wood that is. 

InfraRed Heating 

Infrared heating is without doubt the most energy efficient form of electric heating. Heat your office (or home) from as little as 200watts and save 2/3 of energy compared with traditional convection heaters.

Financial incentives

All of the above technologies can be financially incentivised. Some are elegilbe for Feed In Tariff’s, Renewable Heat Incentive or  Green Deal. There are criteria for interest free loans from the Energy Saving Trust or Carbon Saving Trust or alternatively may attract funding from external sources.
