At AKD, sustainability is built into everything we do — from the services we deliver to how we run our own business. As the UK transitions toward a low-carbon future, we’re proud to be leading by example with responsible practices that reduce environmental impact and support long-term energy efficiency.

Our headquarters and operational facilities are powered with high-efficiency systems, achieving A-rated power performance to reduce energy usage and lower emissions year-round.
We’ve installed solar PV panels across our office buildings to generate clean, renewable energy and reduce reliance on the grid.
Our growing fleet of 7 electric and hybrid vehicles supports sustainable travel for our staff and engineers, cutting down on fuel consumption and reducing our carbon footprint on every job. We’ll of course be going full-electric with our 14+ fleet of vans and commercial vehicles once the range technology suits are requirements.
As an electrical contractor, we also help clients achieve their own sustainability goals through services such as LED lighting upgrades, solar PV installations, EV charging infrastructure, and energy-efficient building systems. From our own practices to the solutions we provide, AKD is committed to building a greener, more efficient future.
