We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Manager to join our Electrical Team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a business renowned for delivering high-quality electrical projects, both locally and nationally.

As an Electrical Contract Manager, you’ll report directly to the Directors and take full ownership of multiple projects—covering traditional and Design & Build schemes. You’ll be responsible for planning, procurement, delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction, ensuring safe and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Manage project planning, resourcing, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, client meetings, inspections, and handovers.
  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to project teams, monitoring performance and development.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Manage client relationships and handling expectations
  • Liaise with Design, Estimating, and Subcontract teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Drive performance improvements and promote continuous development within the electrical team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, statutory testing, and SELECT industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and compliance registers.
  • Identify and maximise opportunities for extra works and revenue growth.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Core electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds).
  • Ideally, HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Contract Manager or Project Manager.
  • Strong background in Health & Safety management, including CDM Regulations.
  • Commercially astute with excellent financial and project management skills.
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver projects successfully under pressure.
