The most coveted award of the SELECT Awards night is undoubtedly the "Electrical Contractor of the Year" award and each year it is pretty much dominated by the big guns of the Scottish Electrical Industry. Companies who dwarf AKD in size if not in quality and reputation.

AKD attended their third awards night in three years and were shortlisted for three awards on the night.

AKD are immensely proud to be announced as Winners of the SELECT Best Promotion of Certification award 2013. Outright winners this year (having shared the award last year) AKD have successfully defended their title against some tough competition from other companies.

The 2013 Broadcast Media campaign to promote the SELECT Brand started on Monday 23rd September.

The thrust of their campaign is to promote Brand recognition and it leads on professionalism, peace of mind, Scottish Government endorsement and the encouragement to “Be Safe, Be Sure, BE SELECT”.
